Consignment Program

Update: Temporarily Discontinued

Storage Consignments is liquidating most items in stock in our South Pasadena (near St Pete Beach) and Tyrone storage locations and will soon be opening near beautiful “Belleair Bluffs”. Until we are in the new location, the consignment program will be temporarily discontinued. I will however, continue to offer new furniture as “order only with delivery”.

How It Works – Overview

Thank you for considering Storage Consignments for your consignment furniture! First, let me share a few guidelines for any consignment items. As is usually the case at any consignment store, a non-smoking home is the first requirement. The condition must be very good to like new. There should be no structural damage, mold or mildew, stains, or odors (pets, food, etc). These are what I call the “no-brainers”. If something is very minor or you believe easily cleaned or fixed, an exception may be made. After reading this page, you may fill out the form below, and make sure to upload photos. If your item is accepted, it will be listed for sale, with the price gradually reduced until sold. You will receive a payout for 50% of the sale price before tax, minus any relevant fees.

Preferred Styles, Brands & Materials

Preferred styles include coastal, contemporary, mid-century modern, and rattan/wicker. I also like to mix in rustic, industrial, retro, shabby chic/bohemian, Indonesian/Malaysian, and just about anything Amish built.

Preferred brands are those similar to Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, Pier 1, Z-Gallerie, Flexsteel, AllModern and Macys. I have sold items from Rooms to Go, Ashley, Broyhill, Bassett, Braxton Culler, Kane, Haverty’s, and Costco. I will sometimes take the higher tier items from IKEA, Target, and Wayfair. Please understand that I am in my consignment infancy and still learning about new brands every month.

Preferred materials are solid soft and hardwoods, rattan and bamboo, with leather and chenille upholsteries. Most of the brands above use cotton and polyesther, and some combination of solid wood with wood veneers and manufactured wood. I try to avoid fiberboard and manufactured wood, but even pieces from many of the brands above use these less durable materials.

Not Preferred

Most large cabinets/armoires, bedroom sets requiring extensive assembly, large dining sets (7+ chairs), recliner sofas and reclining sectionals, electronics, items with easily breakable pieces, such as those constructed with extensive glass components. Most genres from the 70s, 80s and 90s are on the “no” list. I hope you are not offended if I do not accept your furniture.
